从曼谷到吉林:我的“农业特种兵”之旅

我是郭新蕊,一名来自泰国先皇理工大学(King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang)的学生。2025年,我有幸两次来到中国吉林农业科技学院参加短期交流项目——一次在5月春寒料峭时,一次在9月初秋乍冷时。这两次看似短暂的旅程,却在我心中种下了难以磨灭的回忆。

在国际合作与交流处的周密安排下,我的学习主要由农业实习和中文课程组成。所有实习都在校内的教学试验田和农业实训基地进行。5月,天气炎热,我穿着单衣在试验田里参与整地、育苗和播种;9月再次回来时,秋意已浓,我和同学们一起测量玉米的株高、观察大豆的结荚情况,并将全部样本收获后带回实验室进行分析。虽然泰国常年炎热,而吉林四季分明,但正是这种差异让我真切体会到农业必须“看天吃饭,更要靠科技吃饭”。

   

每天上午的中文课是我最期待的时光。老师从拼音教起,耐心纠正我的发音,还用实物和图片帮助我理解“浇水”“施肥”“病虫害”这些农业词汇。虽然说得还不流利,但我已经能用简单的中文在食堂点餐、在超市买水果了!

文化体验活动同样令人难忘。我们在校园里学写毛笔字、剪窗花、包饺子,端午节时还一起包粽子,听老师讲节日背后的故事。学校也组织我们参观吉林市文庙和松花江畔,让我不仅看到中国的城市风貌,也感受到这片土地深厚的文化温度。

如今我即将离开这里,回到泰国。行李可以打包,但这段经历无法带走——它已融入我的视野、我的思考,甚至我对未来的规划。

My Two Seasons at Jilin Agricultural Science and Technology College: A Thai Student’s Journey of Learning and Connection

I’m Guo Xinrui, a student from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Thailand. In 2025, I was honored to visit Jilin Agricultural Science and Technology College (JLASTC) in China twice for a short-term exchange program—once in the Hot summer of May and again during the chilly days of September. Though brief, these two visits left an indelible mark on my heart.

Under the thoughtful coordination of JLASTC’s Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, my program combined agricultural internships with foundational Chinese language courses. All practical training took place in the college’s on-campus experimental fields and agricultural practice bases.I first came in May during the heat to help plant seeds in the experimental plots. Returned in September when the weather had cooled down - that's when we harvested and took everything back to the lab for analysis.Coming from tropical Thailand, I was struck by how agriculture here adapts so precisely to four distinct seasons—truly “working with nature, yet empowered by science.”

My favorite part of each day was the morning Chinese class. Starting from pinyin, my teacher patiently corrected my pronunciation and used real objects and pictures to teach agricultural terms like “irrigation,” “fertilization,” and “pest control.” Though I’m still far from fluent, I can now order food in the canteen and buy fruit at local stores—all in Chinese!

Cultural activities were equally memorable. On campus, we practiced calligraphy, cut paper window decorations, and made dumplings together. During the Dragon Boat Festival, we even wrapped zongzi (sticky rice dumplings) while learning about Qu Yuan and traditional customs. The college also organized visits to the Jilin City Confucian Temple and the Songhua River, helping me appreciate both China’s urban charm and its deep cultural roots.

Now, as I prepare to return to Thailand, I realize that while my luggage can be packed, this experience cannot—it has already shaped how I see the world, how I think, and even how I plan my future.
